Stop the Scams
A social media campaign to improve public awareness and reporting of insurance fraud.

Short animations explaining common insurance scams

A voice over script to highlight the benefits of reporting insurance fraud

I produced a voice over for this longer animation to highlight insurance scams and the benefits of reporting them to the Insurance Fraud Bureau’s confidential reporting service.

User research showed that many people are nervous about reporting insurance scams. I created a tone of voice that was accessible, friendly and reassuring. I also reinforced the message that the service was safe, that the information they have could be valuable, and that they could tell us about their concerns in a way that was confidential.

The results

30% click-through rate to information and reporting pages
Two weeks after the campaign launched, the number of people visiting the reporting page had increased by 180%.
